Short-term profits lure us more than long-term viability. Some people cannot visualize myriad things and this could be a good thing. I observe that some people don’t imagine too much while a handful do it to excess. These over-imagining appear to have no practical effects in mind with the exception of the imagining itself. And those who do this are called dreamers and this is most often said in a very bad manner. They say that the limit to what one can do is imagination. Is this true? If this is the case then, I would propose that being blessed with a vivid imagination is an asset. I hear people say, “be realistic”. Is this a positive thing? Or, something short-sighted and somehow negative? Does it mean putting some limits on one can do in life? I would like to believe that there is no limit to one’s potential and that the limits imposed are arbitrary and boring. Life after all, is boundless and should never be unnaturally limited.
